76 Upper Ground Testing Success
On 26th August, PHF Fire attended 76 Upper Ground to complete the first annual Cause & Effect test for our client.
As part of the visit, we carried out a range of tests to verify the building’s fire safety systems. One key test involved activating a call point in the reception area. This provided an excellent opportunity to see multiple safety systems working together in real time, including:
- Full building evacuation on confirmed fire signal
- Backup generators starting automatically
- Smoke control systems activating
- Lifts grounding to the designated alternative floor
- Fire curtains and pocket doors closing
- Lighting switching to 100% brightness
- Speed gates and access doors opening for safe egress
All systems performed exactly as programmed, and we were able to confirm that the fire panel successfully triggered each command. This test ensures that the building’s life safety systems are functioning as intended, keeping occupants safe and the building compliant.
