Yesterday, we had the pleasure of attending the ECA Stronger Together: Connecting for Growth & Success Conference – and what a day it was. Packed with insightful talks, innovative ideas, and a real sense of community, the event reminded us just how dynamic and forward-thinking the electrical industry truly is.

A standout moment came from Andy Paul, CEO of Fliweel, who delivered a compelling keynote on “AI for the Electro Technical Industry.” His talk explored how artificial intelligence is reshaping our sector—and his message was clear: the future is not just coming—it’s already here, and those who embrace it will lead the way.

Another inspiring moment was the interview with Jamie Clews, Edmundson’s Apprentice of the Year. His passion, drive, and dedication to the industry were truly motivating and a powerful reminder of the importance of supporting and nurturing young talent.

We also greatly appreciated the insightful session by Catherine Wat on Employee Relations and HR. Her practical advice and clear guidance on navigating complex workplace challenges struck a chord with many of us and highlighted the critical role of strong people management in building successful teams.

Throughout the day, we heard from passionate speakers, connected with peers, and left with a renewed sense of purpose. Events like these are a powerful reminder that when we come together, we really are stronger.
